Honeywell Experion Slick Trick: Grabbing Trend Data for Use in PID Loop Analyzer

Navigate to a point’s detail page and select its “Loop Tune” tab. Perform an open loop bump test. With the test data visible in the trend display, click the chart to select it. Then press Ctrl C (copy) to capture the data; open notepad and press Ctrl V (paste). You now have your bump test data in TSV format, ready to paste into PID Loop Analyzer. Note two anomalies, however: (1) the data is in reverse order, so press the “reverse data” button reverse.gif after you paste it into Loop Analyzer, and (2) the data is in percent, so set "Controller LRV" to 0 and "Controller URV" to 100 in PID Loop Analyzer.
